Spark City World was a game that was designed for young girls and tweens who wanted to immerse themselves in a fictional world. It involved several gameplay facets, which included dressing up their characters, designing their apartments, and, of course, interacting with other players. It was a good game that provided countless hours of entertainment.
In order to become a "better" player in Spark City World, players needed to complete a number of quests and games. By doing this, they received rewards that enabled them to purchase new outfits and possessions for their apartments, such as furniture and decorations. Young girls playing this game definitely had a boost in their creativity aspects and were encouraged to further express themselves.
Players started off as generic characters with empty apartments in the Belle Apartment complex, where they shared their homes with thousands of other players. Moving around the various streets and districts of Spark City was relatively easy, thanks to a well-defined map and the easy way of moving around. Basically, all they had to do to move their characters was to point and click the area they wanted them to go to.
Players could visit several shops and streets, and they could unlock more if they availed VIP membership. Some of the shops close to Spark Street (where their apartments were located) included a Sushi Restaurant, a gaming center, a dance studio, and a cinema. All of these facilities contributed to their progression throughout the game. For example, playing a minigame in the gaming center gave them Star Coins, which was Spark City's currency.
Some of the games and activities players could do included Pizza Panic, where they were required to make pizzas off a conveyor belt. Other games included Sweet Tooth Desserts, Mix and Style, and Surf Jam. All of these minigames were unique to Spark City World, so players would want to play them if they had the time. Meanwhile, going over to the cinema let them watch movies, while going to the Dance Nation club let them dance their hearts out.
Apart from the totally immersive world, players were also able to go on dates with boys, who were practically NPCs (non-player characters). They were scattered around the streets of Spark City World, and all players had to do to bond with them was send a friend request. As players progressed throughout the game, they were able to take them to the movies, eat virtual food, and simply hang out.
However, the game was not without its fair share of gripes. Nearly every element, including the monthly gift, was designed to urge players to become VIP members, which provided access to more locations and features. Regardless, Spark City World had hours worth of content for free members to immerse themselves in.
The developers of Spark City World, Fuel Industries, unfortunately, went bankrupt in 2015, and hence, the game hadn't seen an update since, but as the domain was still paid for, the game was still available until 2017 when the domain was up for renewal, and well, obviously, there was no one to renew it since the owner no longer exists.
It had been years since the game was shut down and it's very unlikely to make a comeback at this point. However, we could always cherish our time and memories of the game, and that makes it alive in our hearts.
